 Danny Tenaglia, un personaje altamente
reconocido en la escena electrónica europea de Ibiza y sus alrededores, además de EE.UU.
Nacido y criado en Brooklyn, New York, Danny recibió su entrenamiento musical comenzando
como un DJ a fines de los 70’s. Después de un tiempo, recibió un ofrecimiento para
ser DJ residente de la discoteque. "Roller Palace", una de la primeras
discos para patinadores (lo que estaba de moda) en Brooklyn. Tiempo después, Danny
comenzó a darse fama en algunos clubs de Manhattan, incluyendo Stix y Crisco
Disco. Y cuando no trabajaba en estos clubs se le podía encontrar en Paradise
Garage trabajando junto al DJ Larry Levan.En 1985, Danny empacó sus discos y viajo al sur de Miami, Florida, donde se hizo
DJ residente del Cheers, un club donde llegaba hasta gente de New York que
disfrutaba con los sonidos del garage y del Chicago house.
Desde ese entonces, recibió muchos llamados para tocar en otros clubs, hasta el punto de
que Tenaglia comenzó a buscar algo más que tocar discos hechos por otros.
En 1988, Danny tuvo éxito con el underground happy sample "Waiting For A
Call." Tres años después, ya cansado de seguir esa línea, Danny retornó a New
York.
De vuelta en su territorio, ha tocado en una gran variedad de clubs como: Roxy, Twilo,
Tunnel, Limelight, Life, y últimamente se encuentra de lo mejor
realizando fiestas mensuales tituladas como Vinyl.
Tras haber lanzado su álbum debut "Hard &
Soul" en 1995, y sus secuelas basadas en compilaciones dance unmixed (Mix
This Pussy, Can Your Pussy Do The Dog?, Gag Me With A Tune,
and Color Me Danny), este DJ, Remixer, Productor ha viajado por varias
partes del mundo expandiendo la energía del house.
"He sido honesto," declara Danny, "mi carrera ha escalado alto desde Hard
& Soul. Y cuando 'Bottom Heavy' fue lanzado como single, he recibido la
aceptación internacional, llegando a una posición que nunca me hubiera imaginado".
En tan solo 3 años, Danny ha trabajado sus bandejas en diversos lugares de Inglaterra,
Italia, Japón, Australia, Nueva Zelandia, España, Portugal, Alemania, y Suiza.
De la misma forma ha trabajado en clubs de Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles,
Philadelphia y Boston ambientando con su toque de Hard house.
Durante su regreso a New York, Danny ha mantenido una
agenda bastante apretada. Sumando a su carrera en el DJing, ha sido remixer - productor de
al memos unos 200 temas y trabajando con artistas de gran talla como: Madonna, Janet
Jackson, Grace Jones, Kim Mazelle, Bette Middler, Cher,Pet
Shop Boys, y Blondie.
